904L Stainless Steel Round Rod is an austenitic stainless steel round bar with a chemical composition of approximately 16-18% chromium, a relatively low nickel content (4-6%), and typically 5-8% manganese (added to replace part of nickel), making it cost-effective.
It offers moderate corrosion resistance, suitable for dry environments or mildly humid conditions, but its rust resistance is inferior to 304 series, performing less well in acidic, alkaline, or high-salt environments. In terms of mechanical properties, it has good strength and workability, allowing for cold bending, cutting, and other processing.
Commonly used in decoration, daily necessities, and low-demand structural components, it is ideal for cost-sensitive scenarios with non-severe corrosive environments.
